love is free

Monday, October 12, 2009 ♥ 6

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39

Another Monday, another weekend gone. Another loved one passes away to cancer. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Four nights dedicated to my late uncle's wake, memorial service and burial. Seeing my aunt cry broke my heart, while pondering the fragility of life woke us up. Four days that brought so much heartache, but families even closer.

My uncle suffered a lot in the last few months, but he was strong about it. We take comfort in the fact that he believed in Jesus, thus he is now in heaven without pain but with our Creator, living that joyful and eternal life we were given because of God's amazing love.

Yeap, ur right Ju. When I was told the news, it reminded how fragile life could be. It was death that taught me how to appreciate life even more, that life shouldn be taken for granted.

It's ALWAYS tough to see a loved one go away, but I think the greatest comfort is that we know our loved ones are eternally with Jesus.

My condolences, and I hope JunShoong, family and everyone is being strong about it.

For us to live is Christ,to die is gain.
So, lets celebrate the life we have given by God! =)

    *hugs*
    Hope ur all right, ju!

    that was quite deep.
isn't it funny that while good things can bring families closer (e.g. weddings, birth of a baby, etc), it's often tragedies/sad things that bring us much closer?
perhaps we are more open when we are sad... every little bit of support is appreciated. :)

clare: thanks, clare for being so supportive! Jun Shoong and his siblings were pretty stable, so yeah. (: I still find it so surreal that my uncle is gone, just like that. Funny, isn't it, life? But yup, we rejoice that he is in heaven now, so praise God for His gift of salvation! Love you woman. Thanks for the verse as well.

michelle: yes, i agree. and perhaps it's also because people tend to appreciate others more when we realise that life is short, that it can be taken away from us any time, any where. there's no point bickering, etc. most important thing is to love.

    sofia: thank you, sofia.

Aww Julia that is really tough! I'm sorry about losing your loved one but it's true that you can take comfort in knowing he is in heaven with no more pain. Thank the Lord that he knew Jesus.
I really pray that you and your family find peace at this time. Great verse too! x

I know that it`s insane time, when you lose someone, but remeber that he would like to see what you are doing positive and just in moments like this one you realize how important is each second. Do what you like to do and live like you wan`t to live!
    I`m soory for your lose!
